The Government of Zimbabwe has received financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development toward the cost of the Smallholder Irrigation Revitalization Programme, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for supply and delivery of twenty eight 4 x 4 Double Cabin Vehicles. The Smallholder Irrigation Revitalization Programme PCU now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for twenty-eight 4 x 4 Double Cabin Vehicles to Harare Zimbabwe. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”). This Standard Procurement Document (SPD) is applicable to Procurement of Goods funded by IFAD financed projects whose Financing Agreement makes reference to IFAD’s Project Procurement Guidelines and Procurement Handbook, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Project Procurement Guidelines and Procurement Handbook. In addition, the attention of interested firms is drawn to IFAD’s Policy on Preventing Fraud and Corruption in its Activities and Operations addressing potential conflict of interest situations.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 250 United States Dollars. Completed Bid documents accompanied by proof of payment must be delivered to the address specified in the bid document on or before 10; 00hrs on 15 August 2018. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Received Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 10:30hrs on 15 August 2018.
A “Bid Security” of US$4000.00 refundable at the notification of award must accompany all bids.
