After receiving the bicycle Zhou managed to train 25 farmers, covering areas such as livestock production, ploughing, planting seeds and Post-Harvest Management of different crops and the adoption of Farming as a Business (FAAB).
Zhou said it had become very easy for her reach her follower farmers in less time as she was no longer travelling on foot. Zhou travelled a distance of 8km to reach her follower farmers in Xhaphozi. Zhou said the bicycle had made her work lighter and she managed to save some of the time she used to spend walking and was now able to rest or do other chores.
As a lead farmer, she said the SIRP project had a positive impact in her life as she has managed to pay school fees for her grandchildren, one of whom is at a boarding school. She had also managed to buy a vehicle after she sold some of her livestock.
